Two Students Selected to Girls Spark Teen Leadership Board

Two Students Selected to Girls Spark Teen Leadership Board

We are proud to announce that Sun Valley High School junior Madeleine Kleppinger and sophomore Alexa Bernstein have been selected to serve on the Girls Spark Teen Leadership Board!

This 10-month program gives high school girls in the Greater Delaware Valley the chance to make a real impact in their community. Teen Board members inspire peers, help shape initiatives that empower girls, earn community service hours, and build leadership, teamwork, and project management skills - all with guidance from Girls Spark mentors.

Madeleine Kleppinger shared, “When first hearing of Girls Spark, I did not know what the organization was or what it stood for. However, as I learned more, I was immediately drawn to it because of the amazing girls my age who have made such an impact in our area. Through this program, I want to uplift and collaborate with other girls to solve issues that many face today. As a member of the Summit Committee, I will help plan programs and workshops at the annual summit on April 25th, 2026, at Penn State Brandywine. I cannot wait to see what we accomplish in the future!”

Alexa Bernstein added, “My experience with Girls Spark so far has been incredible and inspiring. Being part of the Teen Board gives me the opportunity to support and empower other teen girls like me and be part of an organization that positively impacts the community.”

The district congratulates Madeleine and Alexa on this achievement and looks forward to seeing the positive impact they will make. To learn more about Girls Spark, its mission, and its programs, visit https://girlsspark.org/.
