Sun Valley Students Shine at Delco Science Fair

Sun Valley High School is thrilled to announce that 16 of our students placed at the Delaware County Science Fair! Their outstanding achievements across various categories, including team projects, chemistry, and engineering, have earned them the chance to compete at the Delaware Valley Science Fair on April 2. A special congratulations to Skye Simms, who also received the prestigious Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees award!

Here’s the full list of Sun Valley’s winners:

• Team Projects: 1st - Steven Buck, Jacob Carr, Joshua Dawson; 2nd - Giavonna Kinsler & Cadence Ogurko; 3rd - Domenic Mastantuno & Jake Mattero; Honorable Mention - Zach Baron & Joshua Deorio
• Chemistry: 1st - Maggie Gioconda; 2nd - Jaiana Joseph; 3rd - Stella Shively
• Botany: 3rd - Maks Kurpel; Honorable Mention - Payton Day
• Engineering: 1st - Skye Simms; 3rd - Alex Minchak
