Sun Valley Students Earn AP Scholar Recognition from College Board

Seventy-one Sun Valley High School students have earned Advanced Placement (AP) Scholar recognition from the College Board for their outstanding performance on multiple AP Exams, marking the school's strongest AP Scholar results in the past five years.

Each year, the College Board recognizes students who demonstrate exceptional college-level achievement through their performance on Advanced Placement Exams. Students may earn one of three award levels: AP Scholar, AP Scholar with Honor, or AP Scholar with Distinction.

Among this year's honorees, 31 students earned AP Scholar with Distinction, the College Board's highest AP Scholar recognition. For the first time in the past five years, AP Scholar with Distinction represented the largest group of award recipients at Sun Valley, highlighting an increasing number of students achieving at the highest levels on AP Exams.

The Class of 2026 also earned an average AP Scholar score of 3.74, the highest five-year average for Sun Valley students, surpassing the previous four years' averages of 3.63, 3.57, 3.49, and 3.59.
