Sun Valley Senior Named QuestBridge College Match Scholarship Recipient

Sun Valley High School is proud to announce that senior Braeden DiGiovanni has been selected as a QuestBridge Scholar through the highly selective National College Match program. Braeden successfully matched with Northwestern University, securing a full, four-year scholarship to cover the full cost of attendance.

The QuestBridge National College Match connects high-achieving students with leading U.S. colleges that offer comprehensive financial aid packages. This year, the program saw more than 25,000 applicants. Of those, approximately 7,000 were named finalists, and only 2,550 students nationwide received a match.

The QuestBridge scholarship covers the comprehensive cost of attendance at Northwestern University, including tuition, housing and meals, books and supplies, and travel expenses. Braeden plans to pursue a degree in Chemical Engineering.

School Counselor Fran Im also praised Braeden's commitment to academic rigor and leadership:

“As one of Sun Valley’s top-achieving yet most humble students, Braeden embraces every academic challenge with enthusiasm and an eagerness to grow. Over the past four years, he has enrolled in our most rigorous Advanced Placement courses and has provided strong leadership across several school clubs and activities. His selection as a QuestBridge Scholar reflects his resilience, integrity, and unwavering commitment to his future.”

Braeden shared his excitement upon hearing the news:

"I was really excited when I first found out. The shock when I opened my application portal was surreal. Not only will I be able to attend one of my top universities, I am able to follow through into my career with more financial security. I am super excited to further my education and enter this new chapter in my life, and I am so grateful that I can have this incredible opportunity!"
