Bocce Gold Wins Regionals, Heading to States
The Sun Valley High School Vanguards are headed to the 2025 Special Olympics Pennsylvania Interscholastic Unified Bocce-PIAA State Championship after winning the regional title on March 5 at Cheyney University.
With an outstanding performance, the Gold team secured their spot in the state competition, which will take place in Hershey, Pennsylvania, on March 27. This achievement is a testament to their dedication, teamwork, and competitive spirit.
Representing Sun Valley on the Gold team are Chloe Crego, Stephen Herre, Cara McHugh, Kendall McKnight, Austin Shirlow, Ashley Wassel, and Shane Steinmetz.
